Pros: Simple, no plastic (and therefore no bacterial smell/taste - plastic started to smell after a day, although I only use this for water), lightweight ( lighter than a bamboo cap bottle, making it less heavy for large single wall bottles), easy to carry with one finger (although not as comfortable as a bamboo bottle), not much noisier than plastic caps, if you're careful, lift it when Screw/unscrew some, and you don't have as much metal-to-metal friction (and therefore less noise). Trust me I have sensitive ears! Also, don't over-tighten when closing. Cons: A little harder to open than the other stainless steel bamboo lids, but not really as bad as some other reviews say. Tip: If you have trouble opening the loop cap (plastic or metal), insert a pen/fork/chopstick through the loop and use that extra torque to twist the cap (I had to do this for my plastic cap , but didn't have to do that far for that).
