No proper assembly instructions or tips. The instructions consist of 4 pictures on paper without words. TIP: Make sure your hoists are not directly over what they are lifting or there will be friction points that will damage the rope. I discovered it the hard way. My rear lift was right above my back seat and I found it difficult to lift my 65 pound rad bike. After several attempts, the rope broke. There was an unexpected rope friction due to 90 degrees. Luckily I had help so we kept the bike from falling to the ground. As you can see in the photo, I installed wood standoffs instead of drywall. THIS DOESN'T JUST WORK ON PLASTERBOARD! I wouldn't use this on a heavy e-bike, but it might work on a regular bike.
