Review on πŸ’ͺ Surebonder PRO2 100: The Ultimate 100 Watt Industrial Temperature Solution by Kevin Singh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The ideal commercial quality hot glue gun, well made and comfortable to use.

Almost every glue gun I've used has been the typical little gun that drips when hot and seated. This is just the start for this amazing non-drip glue gun. It has a full grip so your whole hand can pull the trigger. Releasing the trigger releases pressure on the glue stick, preventing glue from being forced out of the gun when you don't want to. An integrated wire stand keeps the gun upright as shown. When you sit like that, it doesn't drip. When applying glue, the gun gives you a lot of control. The glue goes where you apply it and in the amount you want to use. As it is a 100 watt gun it makes very hot glue, this gun is not a toy for children, the glue that comes out of it will burn you. That might seem like a downside, but it's actually the other way around. If you're going to apply hot glue to whatever you're going to glue, the last thing you want is for the glue to start setting before you can put the pieces together properly. For this to happen, the glue needs to be very hot, and it is. Tip: If you're gluing something big and cold, you'll have a hard time putting your project together before the glue starts to set. Heat the parts of the project with a hair dryer, once warm start gluing the parts. The pistol tip is plastic coated and can be removed and replaced with other tips sold separately. It would be nice if they sold a package with three extra tips at a reduced price. In any case, the three tips sold together are very helpful. You get one that is flat and wide, one that is long and skinny, and one that is wider and rounded with a beveled tip. The tip that comes with the gun is a great general purpose tip and will be used by most people. Someone working with wood may need a wide flat tip. The red plastic around the tip of the shaft allows you to remove the glue from it. The three extra tips are made of aluminum and brass and have a plastic washer that fits between the tip and gun. I suppose to make the tip easier to remove after use. The tips are very strong and well made. The gun has a 5 foot two wire power cord. Overall, this is a quality product that fully deserves its current five star rating. The last piece of information I want to share with you relates to glue. Hot glue is not just hot glue. Stanley makes glue as strong as nails that will stick to almost anything. If you find it, you must read the reviews before you buy it. It's that expensive. It's as good as they say and if you want a super strong adhesive that will stick to almost anything you need a Stanley GS500BK, it's yellow adhesive and that's the only complaint anyone's ever had. had about it. I should also mention that not all glue guns can use this Stanley GS500BK as many glue guns are not around 100 watts of power and this glue requires this gun or a hotter but not colder gun. Another very good glue is made by Surebonder, the maker of this glue gun. It's called Best Stick and although the packaging says it's 40% stronger, it doesn't compare to other adhesives. All I can say is that it's a very good glue and cools to a nice solid surface. What makes hot glue bad, you might ask? It's about how soft the adhesive is at room temperature and how soft it becomes in normal, everyday situations. The last thing anyone wants is for their hot glued parts to fall apart when heated and put some pressure on them. I mentioned two glues that you can buy from Revain, both are excellent.
