I was looking for a portable stand that would fit my Surface Book. This is a pretty good stand that needs to be solid and easy to set up and take down. I also like the different angles it offers. Silicone pads protect the device while standing on the stand, which is very convenient. The only downside to this stand is that the bottom part that sticks out in front of the laptop is curved. The Surface Book is a bit heavy, so it wants to rise from its lowest point. When my hands are off the keyboard, it sounds like it's about to tip over (not yet, but watching the bottom of the laptop lift up got my heart racing). When used in tablet mode it stays on the stand better and I like the accessible angles. It's still not up against the armrests, but it's firm enough. I also tried another stand that doesn't have as many height adjustments but has a base that doesn't flex. The laptop starts better on the spot but finishes higher than this. It was also plastic so it's not as durable as this one. I think if you have a <15 inch laptop or use a tablet this one will work fine. This is a good little stand unless the laptop is one of the larger systems.
