Fits my 2004 WJ 4.7, no leaks. I love this drain. No more tossing the drain plug in the sump or replacing the plug gasket/washer. The gasket that came with the kit was a bit loose - its inside diameter was larger than the diameter of the drain, which I would like, but it doesn't leak. I only docked one sprocket because the spring and detent that holds it closed is a bit flimsy and makes me a little nervous. I would like a stiffer spring or at least a deeper lock. And even better both. If it breaks or somehow opens up I will update my review. It felt very gritty when opened and in fact hardly any water drained when opened. I had ridden 50 miles the week before on some very muddy gravel/gravel/sand roads but wasn't thrilled with how it holds up all the road debris. Knowing that fluid is coming out and not in, I don't think dirt is getting into my oil pan. Opening and closing the valve a few times while the oil pan was still full of old oil seemed to eliminate it, and it returned to the full drain I was expecting. I'm down to 2 stars - it works but the nature of its design grabs and holds dirt. I don't like having all that sand removed from my oil. At least with a standard drain plug I can see the dirt and wipe it off before removing the drain. With the Fumoto drain, the seal does not open and the drain can be closed with a cap. I probably won't remove the Dorman drain because since the oil comes straight out it will flush as it drains. But I still don't like how much dirt it holds and I won't buy another. did. If you park on good concrete, you're going to have a few drips over the next 24 hours, which may be an issue for some. I remember circa 1988 when my friend's father just drilled into me because my hammer spilled gas in his driveway. Personally, I don't care โ my park is full of drips and leaks, both new and rotten, and my driveway won't win the Cleanest Around award. ***UPDATE*** 11/23 2020. I'm going. 1 star. When changing the oil it sprayed like a sprinkler system. I had to raise the oil pan to catch any currents and it was still covering my catalytic converters and the bottom of the oil pan with used oil. I'm done. The factory drain plug was reinstalled, draining Dorman into the trash can. I gave him many chances. ***UPDATE*** 08/12/2021. I should note that I replaced it with a fumoto drain a while back. I absolutely love it. Google them, they will surely do what suits you. 1/4 turn for deflation, a solid clasp for locking, and an additional plastic clip that virtually eliminates accidental opening. Check out the accessories too, I had a latch on the 90 degree spout to get into the drain pan perfectly.
