My husband is anemic and needs to take iron supplements daily. His regular iron is a liquid that comes out of a huge bottle and it's not a big deal, but when we're not at home taking a dose can be a bit uncomfortable. These single servings of iron are ideal. Not only can I toss one in his lunch bag or computer bag, he can easily take his iron with me and I don't have to worry about missing important medication. His normal dose of iron is 35 mg, which equals 40 mg. . We asked his doctor and she said that 5mg more every now and then wasn't a big deal.
