Review on Dorman 600-400 4WD Locking Hub Solenoid for Ford / Lincoln Models by Greg Baker

Dorman have been around for a long time so I didn't hesitate to buy from them. As many other reviewers have mentioned. I bought two of these. The first one I replaced lasted about a day. Of course, since I had two, I threw away the first one and found a microcrack near one of the vacuum line nipples. The second one I installed took about 3 days. I tested the solenoid with a vacuum and found it to be intermittent. I ended up ordering one of the dealers down the street and replacing it with a Motorcraft. Work like a champion. Normally I only use motorcycle parts. Maybe a few bucks more, but they design their own parts for their cars. I don't blame Dorman in any way. They've been around for a long time.
