There are foods that are simply fun and this is definitely one of them. If you like a little froth on your coffee, cocoa or whatever, this is the way to go. When I first read the instructions I thought "This is impossible" but it wasn't. You just have to make sure the milk you use is ice cold or hot. You pour milk into the Froth Master up to the maximum mark on the side, put the lid on, swing the stem up and down with the handle on the lid for up to 40 seconds and voila! Foam! I bought an official Walmart espresso machine that same day, but found the damn thing so cumbersome to set up and use that I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. There is supposed to be a steam "foamer" on the right-hand side, which I also tried. But once I got the espresso maker to steam and carefully placed the "frother" tip in the milk container as directed, it literally went nuts. The milk started squirting all over the place and you had to see the mess on the kitchen counter and coffee maker to believe it. When I had everything under control again, I looked into the milk jug, but there was no foam at all except for a few large bubbles. Unlike the coffee maker, which I will cover in a separate review, the Norpro Glass Froth Master is definitely a keeper and I will have a lot of fun using it.
