This is a great collar concept wise as our dog is almost all black and blends in easily with the dark on night walks. However, the lighted portion of this collar is only about 8.5 inches long (the overall circumference of the collar is about 23 inches for Large, fully extended). Perhaps the LED strip covers a higher percentage of his neck if your dog is on the lower end of the size range? Ours was on the higher end so maybe we should have gone for the XL size. Also, the leash D-ring is on one end of the LED strip, so the LED strip is only on one side of your dog's neck when the dog is on the leash. I would give 5 stars if the LED strip went further around my dog's neck.
