Review on Efficient Norpro Stainless πŸ§€ Steel Grater for Easy Food Preparation by Becky Williams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent quality standard steel grater - very simple and traditional design (that's what I like and wanted)

I needed a plain stainless steel grater and it worked. At $8 I figured I had next to nothing to lose. For the most part I think this is a good product. It is relatively durable, it performs the functions of grinding to different sizes, the parts that actually cut are very sharp, the grater withstands occasional use in the dishwasher, and the steel used protects against rust fairly well. . It is also convenient to use and the handle is designed quite well. On the other hand, this is a product that really should be hand washed (as mentioned). The stainless steel used resists rust fairly well, but it will rust if not looked after, and some dishwashers can really take a toll on steel in that department. Like knives, they should be washed shortly or immediately after use, and preferably dried immediately after washing (which isn't a big deal). Also the steel itself shouldn't be super hard as over time my grater has lost a lot of the sharpness I use most and it now takes more effort to grate things that aren't very soft (it still grates Stuff as simple and effective) as cheese). This part is my biggest disappointment in Turk. If I could do it again, I'd probably buy a slightly higher quality device made from slightly tougher steel. Mine, while still serviceable, will probably need to be replaced within a year or two at this rate (the last one I had was older than me). However I think overall this is a really good product, the NorPro represents exceptional value for money considering the overall quality is very good and the price is fantastic.
