Nice lamp but be careful with the packaging! The lamp itself is very beautiful. It's light (and dark) with a nice wide view through the magnifying glass. Flexible arms are a little unassuming but functional. They did however package it in a nice foam backed box, bubble wrap around the arms and base but they seal the flashlight/magnifying glass very tightly in cellophane! Not only is it annoying and unnecessary, but it must have been sitting in a hot storage facility for a long time because the cellophane has literally melted on the surface in places and what I can remove leaves a permanent residue that looks awful. Now for $55 it's an ugly light. but it looks like it does the job differently. Just watch out for the unnecessary cellophane wrap!
