Perfect for my passion for miniature painting

Going back to miniature painting when vision fails is not good. However, this lamp with built-in magnifying glass is perfect for you! The light is bright and dimmable, the magnification is perfect and there is enough range of motion for correct positioning. I taped the edges because the light blinded me when I was too close to the lamp. I was surprised when the lamp I originally ordered (picture on the right) was no longer offered, but the seller referred me to it. So happy and would buy again!

Big! 09/13/19 Update

The light is excellent! Very bright. Exactly what I was looking for. However, the clamp did not fit my table. My fault, the table is very thick. However, it fit the clamp I already had. Updated 09/13/19. I had the opportunity to use this lamp today. I held it for about half an hour. With light with LEDs, it was of course hot. I have a laser temp gun, the bottom to the table was about 115 degrees and the top where I look through a magnifying glass was about 125 degrees. Pretty hot if you ask me.

Attention packaging!

Nice lamp but be careful with the packaging! The lamp itself is very beautiful. It's light (and dark) with a nice wide view through the magnifying glass. Flexible arms are a little unassuming but functional. They did however package it in a nice foam backed box, bubble wrap around the arms and base but they seal the flashlight/magnifying glass very tightly in cellophane! Not only is it annoying and unnecessary, but it must have been sitting in a hot storage facility for a long time because the…

Broke after 10 months.

The design of this light is a triumph of economy over technology. I have lamps that have been working for 30 years or more. The lamp has worked for 10 months. They gave it away and today the recipient said the switch didn't work. I looked at the lamp and found that 1) the lamp head was loose on the stem because the nut in the head was loose (despite the lock washer), 2) the nut holding the switch in place was loose , so the switch body could rotate easily when the dimmer switch was rotated, and

Slightly smaller and less durable than expected - disappointed

It's very bright and the brightness control works very well. The whole mechanism is smaller and less heavy or strong than expected. I like that the springs are on the outside of the rails. However, I use this lamp with a table mount. In my opinion the lamp post is a bit smaller than it should be. When I tried to move the lamp to its farthest position, it wobbled forward due to the gap between the post holder hole and the lamp post. I may have solved this problem by attaching a piece of 1/2"…

Bright but dimmable! The measured light temperature is 6490K, i.e. the same as in daylight with slight clouds.

I am an artist and it is important to me to work in lighting that is as close as possible to diffuse sunlight for color rendering; I usually photograph my work outdoors on cloudy days. I have a Phive table lamp for my studio, but the lighting from the living room chair wasn't good enough. To complicate things further, we have a teal accent wall in a yellow room that changes the color temperature of daylight. to direct the light where I needed it. This light serves its purpose.
