Review on Bose SoundLink Revolve Portable Bluetooth Accessories & Supplies for Cell Phone Accessories by Brad Schaefer

Great sound: portable audio and video

Inclined to buy a Bose speaker, I stopped at Best Buy and listened to the Home Speaker 300, Smart Speaker 500, Revolve II and Revolve+ II. To my ears, the Revolve II and Home Speaker 300 sounded tinny at high volumes, and both fell far short of the more expensive Revolve+ II and Smart 500 in overall sound quality. I really liked the Revolve+ II's deep, rich undertones and the Smart 500 shone at higher ones volumes to retain a slightly tighter clarity. Ultimately, I prefer the deeper, fuller sound and portability of the Revolve+ II. In the end, I was very happy to buy it when the price suddenly and temporarily dropped to $200. For me, the Bose Revolve+ II is a great speaker at a great price. And even if you end up paying more, you're still getting a great speaker from a quality company.

Pros
  • Built-in microphone - Take calls and access your default voice assistant right through your portable speaker. Or connect the speaker to an Amazon Alexa-enabled device like the Echo Dot for even more hands-free control of your music.
