These gloves are very well made. They are a bit large so not suitable for heavy work but offer excellent protection. They cover most of the arm, about halfway between the elbow and shoulder. I got her to take care of our reactive puppy who gets aggressive at times. During a recent episode he tried to bite my hand and although the glove didn't protect against the pressure of the bite, it successfully prevented my skin from tearing. As part of his training, if he is aggressive, he will be separated into a "time out" for 5 minutes. These gloves are perfect for getting him out of the room so he can calm down without hurting anyone. I will note our pup is small, adult 15lbs but I think they would work well for larger dogs too. would recommend.
