Great idea, I like it

[Update 5-16-22] The company contacted me and replaced the old monitor with a new one from a new batch. Now the backlight problem is solved. The monitor is nice enough. I'm still not a big fan of the kickstand, but it works. This monitor made me realize the value of these portable monitors. My daughter loves this monitor (she is mainly a remote developer). I have a few tips for using such a monitor: 1) Keep the box - use it when shipping the monitor. They are too fragile to easily fit in a wheeled bag. 2) Store the box - the height of the box is ideal for a monitor stand. The monitor should be about 3 inches tall (or about the height of the box). 3) If you use it as a secondary monitor in Windows 11, please download the "Monitorian" app from Windows App Store. This allows the brightness of the second monitor to be controlled via software. I'm a developer working (hybrid) remotely and using a monitor like this as a dedicated screen from a virtual machine that I dedicate to a VPN (because my company's VPN policy is a bit draconian). This allows me to comply with the rules of operation but still have access to the internet for Stackoverflow and other similar useful sites. It also makes group meetings a little easier. I can share my virtual machine's desktop while still seeing who I'm talking to and what they're saying. via chat. Organizing between monitors is very useful. So I find a portable monitor like this very useful. [Update] The company has contacted me several times regarding this and trying to resolve issues. uses this monitor daily. With uneven backlighting, she just turned that backlighting on to the highest level so you can see the bottom right corner. She usually works from home but sometimes has to take the train/bus to work from time to time. She has a decent padded rolling bag for her gear and doesn't get overloaded. The monitor broke on the last drive to work. This isn't a specific issue with the monitor, but you should probably remember to be very, very careful when packing it for your commute. And be very careful with your bag when commuting - the monitor (although portable) is a fragile piece of glass. That's a fantastic idea. The monitor is light, well packaged and has many connection options. It comes with all the cables you need. But he has two not so good things. 1) The stand/case is not attached and feels unreliable. Not that you want to bother with your portable monitor. 2) The backlight of the monitor is not the same. The lower right side of the monitor has a very dim backlight. I've attached a photo of it. The resolution is a bit coarse, but I'm older so it's not necessarily a bad thing. The color is really wrong. Red looks orange. Those two things are minor annoyances, but the backlight issue is a concern. That's a great idea. I like most things about it, but I don't recommend it.
