I have a couple of full size sewing machines, one on a separate table. But because I moved into a tiny apartment, I didn't have room for her. I was just wanting to hem some pants and fix a little clothing when I saw this tiny piece and wanted to try it. I'm glad I did. I had to adjust the tension, which you would do with any sewing machine (especially if you got one for the first time), because the thread was slipping out of the needle. After that I hemmed a pair of pants and that in 5 minutes. It's very easy; You can't select different stitch types, you can't select different stitch sizes and it doesn't seem to change. But that's okay 'cause I just wanted it for little ones simple tasks. Pedal cord is short but I was sewing from my coffee table so I had no problems with the pedal. If I wanted to use it on a higher table I would get an adapter/extension. I got a blue that looked more like a mid-century mint or a pale teal. Pros: Lightweight, compact, does not take up space. Decent, basic stitching Has a nice little LED so you can see Pretty quiet Cons: Pedal doesn't have a rubber backing so it slides in. It doesn't work with thick materials.
