Good device and price but questionable design

They're great, especially for the price, but you can get a bad one. I used this on a Vive Pro HMD to get rid of the built in headphones and use an external headphone. The USB-C connection was perfect, but when I plugged in my headphones and adjusted the audio controls in Windows, I couldn't hear any sound, and the microphone on the headset showed no response on the meter. By wiggling the headphone and mic jacks in the jack, I started getting choppy audio and I could see there was play in the case. This is not a solid construction. Luckily I bought two of these because they are so cheap. The second worked perfectly, there were no issues with the microphone or headphones at all. So I'll get a replacement for a bad one, but they're so cheap it doesn't really matter. I'm surprised that there's any money to be made from this device at this price point, because the cable isn't cheap, it has a sturdy braided jacket, and there are electronics inside the case, including a couple of red flashing LEDs. LEDs seem superfluous and goofy, but still.
