Not sure what to expect. The "crystals" are definitely glassy and have flaws, but when put together they're really invisible. They came with a long spare strand and a short spare strand of crystals. Didn't and didn't need a real stand, just a shade. It worked great with a few modifications for my dining room chandelier. I've been looking for the shadow for months and finally took a chance and got this one. It's blissful when we're together. Which, like the other reviews, is a pain in the ass. It's worth it, but it takes patience. Be careful not to drop the coasters as they are glass and can shatter, break or shatter.
