Fantastic lens at half the price of the American version. I bought a Canon 80D (body only) 6 months ago along with a 24-70mm f2.8 zoom and after a couple of months I decided to go full frame (5d Mark IV). A full frame body paired with a 24-70mm made my practically new 80D my second camera to use with the 50mm f1.8 STM and 85mm f1.8 with primes. Having a few bucks to spend I decided to give this kit zoom a try mainly because of the good reviews and thought it would be a great addition to the 80D which is also great for video. A very, very good lens with image stabilization (crucial for handheld videography). Very spicy for what it is and at a great price. I wouldn't buy that $600 lens for the US version, but at almost half the price of the international version, this lens is a fantastic investment if you have a crop-sensor Canon camera like the 80D. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend trying this one. I've been shooting with mirrorless systems (Fujifilm, full frame Sony A7 Mark II) for the last few years and still own these systems with the excellent prime lenses each offers. (Fuji xf 23mm f1.4, 35mm f1.4, 56mm f1.2 and Sony FE 28mm f2, Sony/Zeiss 55mm f1.8) so I have something to compare and this lens is worth buying . I will get the Canon Power Zoom PZ-E1 Adapter for this lens as soon as possible for even better video recording. Happy shooting everyone.
