September 2020: Good for the money in many ways EXCEPT the big spoiler which means this scope produces so much chromatic aberration, so much so that even on cloudy days, everything in the field of view turns purple, especially at high magnification. In addition, the sharpness decreases sharply at high magnification. This is totally useless for bird watching or any viewing where detail and true color are desired. Otherwise it would have been a very good lightweight spotting scope for its size and price. It's a shame because otherwise it's a nice build. It comes with a sturdy 12" black powder-coated steel tripod in a black 2-compartment, zipped polyester case with shoulder strap.
