When I first tried to use it straight out of the box the tires wouldn't inflate because the end of the cord didn't properly engage the tire deflation stem . When I tried using it a second time, I found that I had to twist the end of the inflation cord so it could be threaded onto the valve stem. This is a desirable feature so you don't have to manually hold the inflation cord on the valve stem while using the inflator. Then I could inflate the tires properly. I used a separate JACO tire gauge which I ordered around the same time to check the pressure. I have found that I have to increase the digital inflator reading by 1-2psi to get the separate pressure gauge to read the correct pressure. Some of the pressure difference between the two devices is likely due to the slight loss of pressure that occurs when the end of the inflation cable is disconnected from the tire's valve stem. Now that I know how much to re-inflate when inflating, it's easy to get the right pressure without having to make two attempts to inflate each tire. I am very satisfied with this product.
