Review on 🎨 General Finishes High Performance Water Based Topcoat, Satin Finish - 1 Quart by Justin Pavelko

You must try to believe it.

I've used many finishes but this was a revelation. It spreads quickly and evenly without leaving any artifacts. It can take a while to get used to the short hours, but it spreads so easily that it didn't bother me and actually made me a lot more productive. I apply quickly, almost like a sketch, then touch up a bit and start applying the next layer almost immediately. I found three layers almost perfect. Being water based makes it easy to clean, but I usually just chill my plastic-lined brushes when I'm done and throw them away at the end. If you also use General Finishes milk colors everything will be flawless. I applied it with a foam brush and it's so even it looks like it was sprayed on. This is a good solid surface that will hold up well to daily wear and tear and is easy to clean. I used to repair cabinets but have since used it for railings and baseboards as well. It's so easy and quick that I think most of my color projects would benefit from a little extra finishing to reduce maintenance later.
