Review on MALIDA Float Valve Automatic Aquarium by Maria Campbell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well, no leaks

The first thing that struck me about these valves is that they assemble upside down. I have experience with these types of valves and haven't seen them in this build. This can cause users to install them upside down and they won't turn off if you install them upside down. In the photo next to the float there is a plastic tongue. This tab should be pointing down, not up. I have 4 of these installed in a hydroponic grow room and they work very well. The only downside is that the spacer can be stiffer rather than mushroom-like if tightened enough to prevent the float from moving. This is a PVC plastic and you need to be careful when putting it on. I broke a nut while getting dressed. I bought an extra one for that reason, so it worked fine.

Pros
  • Boat diameter: 1.8" (45mm), Hull length: 6" (152mm)
Cons
  • disappears
