Best value for money if your not a mechanic

I bought this OBD2 scanner to read my check engine light fault code and see if I can fix it myself or take it to a mechanic must bring. Worked great. The light went out before I received this product but it was still able to read the error code. Connects easily. It runs on a car battery. He feels strong. The display is bright, clear, decent size. This device gives you error codes and descriptive text when you press enter, which is handy so you don't have to keep a manual or look up the meaning of a code on the internet. I could have gone for a more expensive model with a larger screen and up and down scroll buttons, but for my purposes it would have been overkill and not worth the extra cost. I bought this for $21.99 which is about as cheap as them. I've seen some other $15 products but they had their own issues. Some had tiny screens that could only hold 8-16 characters. One had a screen twice the size of this one, but contrast wasn't as good and reliability ratings were poor. In one case, the product had a fake brand name and the manufacturer didn't respond to complaints. I was concerned that this Udiag scanner might also have fake marks because I see 3 manufacturers with the exact same buttons and screens (Udiag, Autophix and Ancel) but I think it's just 3 companies made by one and come from the same manufacturer. It seems well built.
