Review on 🌡️ No-Contact Infrared Forehead Thermometer for Adults and Children - Fever Alarm, Accurate Readings, Memory Function, Batteries Not Included by Charlie Dillon

During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic these non-contact thermometers are a handy must have. I bought 2 devices and neither of them worked right out of the box. They are a lot smaller than I expected and made from cheap plastic and lightweight material. Obviously it is a one-stop mass production product, made in China, only the sticker changes with different brands. A quick search on Revain will show identical products just with a different label. That should have been a warning sign for me. Installed FRESH AAA batteries in a device and after a few tries it wouldn't turn on. So I tried this on another device, thinking both would be less likely to fail, but BOTH would not turn on. I checked the batteries in another device, they are fine, no batteries. The thermometer's battery cover is a cheap plastic snap-on door that doesn't seal well. Squeezed and held it shut with my thumb, thinking the battery contacts weren't protruding properly, but still nothing. These devices are so poorly constructed and seem like toys. The plastic molding is not fully sealed as if the parts were simply fitted together. I'm rather mad at myself for being tricked into ordering such a junk product. After trying a few more new batteries with no success, I had to repackage BOTH devices and return them for a full refund. At least Revain's return process was quick, smooth and free - but such a waste of time and resources to begin with. Now I'm looking for the best thermometers in local shops to test and "feel" the quality first. Stay away from these devices! (I suspect some of the good reviews on this product are illegal as it is one of the worst quality devices I have seen). Let the buyer be alert! (Attention for the buyer!).
