I traveled from the US to Germany with my dog. It weighs 19.5 pounds and easily fits in this carrier. It was quite difficult to get up, but he was able to roll over with no problem. The fact that the car has wheels is great. Carrying a nearly 20-pound dog can be quite difficult, especially as airport routes are long. When the wheels were removed, the trunk fitted slightly, if not quite, under the seat, but I had no trouble with the flight attendants getting upset that the trunk didn't fit like it was supposed to. I like that the trunk is open on all 4 sides for ventilation (necessary for international travel anyway). Strong, not weak, no fear of something breaking, tearing, etc. The only thing that is a bit difficult/uncomfortable: when removing the wheels, the velcro sticks to the airplane floor carpet. That means you'd better set it up exactly where you want it the first time, as the support is quite difficult to move. Overall I would recommend this carrier and will definitely use it again when traveling with my pet again. my personal and objective opinion.
