I can't explain why other manufacturers are charging twice as much for half the product, but somehow in this category of tools these guys seem like a better product at half the price than the original manufacturer to produce . After 20 years of occasional use, my old desoldering tool needed a new O-ring. The manufacturer charges $4 to replace the O-ring, plus an additional $5 for shipping. Your new product costs $15. I bought this "fake" for about half that amount. I was expecting a cheap Chinese imitation. What the photos don't show is that this is a significantly larger tube than the standard "blue" plastic solder suction tools. Everyone knows who I'm talking about, their name starts with the letter "E". The large tube provides far more suction than any other spring-loaded desoldering tool I've ever used. In fact, it works just as well as the mechanical tools I've used in my professional life. On first use I was impressed by the fact that it only took one pass to remove all of the melted solder. Let's say I began to doubt the suitability of this tool but left feeling that I received a lot of value.;
