Use at your own risk

The lamp is not marked for UL listing/testing or other compliance. Without completing any testing and approvals, or even following electrical safety codes, I would be reluctant to install a product that could potentially cause problems in my home. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy this product or that it's dangerous. I say that after spending the money and finding no sign of approval, I decided not to install this in my home because I figured the risk of hassle, fire, and insurance claims being denied outweighed the benefits outweighed the $50 savings from not purchasing. a new LED fixture to properly replace the light in my kitchen. Other problems: 1. The instructions are poor. It is up to you to interpret the drawings to determine which wire/pole is hot and which is neutral.2. The part they send to connect the wires is TERRIBLE! It relies on spring pressure rather than a cheap plastic case to connect wires. You won't find such a plug in an electronics store or in a hardware store. When using this light, please buy GENUINE nuts or approved plugs.3. There is a chance this bulb will not replace the 118 inch bulb I purchased as a replacement. This means the overall diameter is different so the bulb holding the clips in the mount may not hold that bulb. They sent you clips so you can screw them into the old mount with drywall anchors to fix this problem. Why not just design the lightbulb as a direct replacement for a regular lightbulb? I've waited too long to write this review to get a refund. I should have listened to other reviews about the quality of this lamp before ordering.
