Complex installation on 12ft precast ceiling. Not unexpected, but it still took time. I didn't install them on 2x4s as per the instructions but used a stud finder and installed directly with the screws provided. I drilled pilot holes because the screws can come loose if you don't. And I had to overcome a few hurdles like an automatic opener and 2 headlights to install all 4. So it took me a while to figure out how and where. It takes a bit of work to understand the mechanics and I use small elastic cords to secure the hooks because you really have to. BUT that's all expected of a project like this and nothing to complain about. When it's all done and all 4 bikes are up it looks great and saves me the hassle of constantly moving bikes across the floor. I probably wouldn't like this system if I used the bikes a lot, but we only use them occasionally and this is a great growth bang for my buck. I think the equipment is very good and I agree with others that ropes can be a problem in the long run. I would prefer cotton or other natural fiber rope over polyester rope, but since this rope is not used often it's fine. In my opinion a great price for 4 bikes.
