Review on 🏆 Polaris Sportsman 450 570 SP X2 HD Winch Kit (2014-2020) - Genuine Polaris - 2,500 Lb. Capacity - 2880432 by Dhoal Shankar

The winch is excellent and reliable so far. I had a bit of a problem installing it due to some mix ups with the models over the years. I've read that XP and SP are essentially the same thing, while Polaris has only changed the name over time. It turns out this is not the case. The instructions state that if you have an SP, you must move the solenoid. Having a 2018 570XP I did this and installed as instructed. It fits snugly between the contacts of the radiator and the solenoid. Tried to check the winch, but the contact housing was already worn out, causing an instantaneous short in the battery. Luckily it wasn't enough to fry anything, but it could potentially be very bad. I put the solenoid back to where it was when the winch came out of the box and it has worked great ever since.
