I like to trust products and that's one of the reasons I buy cheaper brands. What struck me about these nozzles is the hole in the middle. I know some brands have this feature on the item but not on the Weller model it replaces. This leads to overheating too quickly and burning out of the coating. Then it does not keep a constant temperature, which is why the iron stays on all the time. After 2.30 minutes of work, my tips turned irreversibly black. The tips corroded on first use and actually started to peel off metallurgically up to the thigh. No amounts of ammonia salt (tinning block) and solder or nickel/silver tinning paste. would return. I've tried everything but steel wool and a dremel to revive these tips. When tips get this bad, it's trash time. The tips are almost non-magnetic. I still have OEM Weller tips that are 25 years old and after use look better than these. From now on I only buy Weller!
