For easy soldering.

This is a cheap replacement. They work well enough but are soft on the tip. I don't recommend doing too much with them. The photo shows a new tip and after 1 use with a tip preservative.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Mostly OK, but...

Sharp enough tip for small solder joints.

This is the right size for small solder joints, such as B. on motherboards or prototyping boards. Just make sure your model's solder uses that bit number. The lot of my make and model was indicated in the description. Use rosin solder to solder electronic or electrical connections, and check Utube or a repair manual to see if a heat gun is the best choice for soldering.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons

So far so good - tip

I have to say I'm not used to soldering with such a fine tip. Get used to it quickly. never mind They really make things easier. Anyway, I refreshed my "soldering iron tip care" after application. I've used it quite a bit, built three amps and done a few repairs. Still looks like new so far so good. The parts seem to be of excellent quality and the price suits me.

Pros
  • Quality construction

  • Null

Random soldering and soldering hardware upgrade

Another website claimed they fit my soldering iron but they didn't fit so I bought a new soldering iron instead of sending them back. These tips are forever. I've only used one so far and when I wipe it down it doesn't look used except for a slight color change. By now I would use 3 or 4 MT tips. So if you have a soldering iron that uses MT, just upgrade and buy the right soldering iron to save money. Sure, the soldering iron costs twice as much, but that's why my solder joints look the same.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

Seems to work as well as the OEM tips

I bought these tips for my Weller iron because the tip that came with it was too big for fine detail work on circuit boards. So far so good with these tips. I've only used one so far, but I've already spent at least 15 hours with it with no problems. It tins well and seems to conduct heat well as long as I keep it shiny with either a damp sponge or one of those brass mesh nib cleaners (I use both, usually the latter when I'm working to keep the nib from getting too went in hard) . Temperature).

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Some issues

Good quality tips at a reasonable price

Like the other reviewer I bought them to solder some surface mount (SMD) components - resistors, capacitors etc in addition to some very small, tiny, micro, tiny tiny LEDs . ST7 was the smallest item I could find that would fit my iron. While not small enough for my purposes, I managed to get it working. The reason for the 5 stars is that I've spent hours on one of these tips and it still rots like it did when it was brand new. Not too expensive and it does the job every time. Definitely…

They drive fast don't buy

I replaced a 4 year old fountain tip with this and used it for about a month. Poor tip heating and then the tip broke indicating it was already rusted on the inside. The real problem came when I tried to remove it from my Weller iron. It corroded in a soldering iron and was actually welded to the iron. It took a vise, 18 inch pliers and a hammer to finally loosen and eventually pull it out. Use the other 4 in this pack. I have never seen a tip corrode so badly or so quickly and I have been…

1 Weller OEM nozzle will serve you again and again!

I like to trust products and that's one of the reasons I buy cheaper brands. What struck me about these nozzles is the hole in the middle. I know some brands have this feature on the item but not on the Weller model it replaces. This leads to overheating too quickly and burning out of the coating. Then it does not keep a constant temperature, which is why the iron stays on all the time. After 2.30 minutes of work, my tips turned irreversibly black. The tips corroded on first use and actually…
