I got this from Revain's last treasury truck deal. He had all the qualities I wanted. IPS/ 1440P/ 165Hz (I was happy with 144Hz, so that was a plus)/ Vesa/ Fast response time/ Gaming monitor without crazy design, perfect for work + Gaming setup/ HDR/ Gsync (not certified, but works) )/ and higher all an incredibly good price. I installed it alongside AOC cq27g2 which I've been using for about 1.5 years. It had no dead pixels and there was some IPS highlights but not too crazy and didn't affect my gameplay at all. No problem for QC. However, it didn't really give me a better experience compared to the AOC CQ27G2, which is priced very similarly to this HP X27Q. It had very similar colors, clarity, and gaming performance to AOC's VA panel. I was hoping that IPS would give a different feel and experience than VA, but I don't see a big "upgrade". When I enable HDR I also get high frequency audio as other reviewers have mentioned that coil whine and HDR make no difference when watching movies/videos. Check out the others if you're really into HDR. For the price, I'm very happy with the HP X27Q. Would recommend for an entry-level IPS gaming monitor.
