My daughter had (had) 4 fish (small cheap fish (tetra and some kind of goldfish). The fish were 3 months old. Filter changed every month with no problems. Used this new filter on Sunday evening and within 45 minutes both tetras were dead. Within 2 hours 3 fish were dead and within 3 hours I had 4 dead fish and a devastated crying daughter. Yes, we flushed it first for dust. i don't care the cost of the filter. i can't get my daughter's heart back who lost all four pets (yes she's too attached to fish) but hey. 5 stars for those easy construction .
