This is my 3rd pregnancy in 4 years and a good friend of mine recorded it after carrying twins weighing 7lbs each for 38 weeks! Said it was life saving. I doubted it would help but during this 3rd pregnancy I had severe hip pain and had never worn a pregnancy support belt before - I didn't feel like I needed it and I work as a beautician so I was on my feet and worked on clients up to 9 months pregnant 1 and 2. Out of desperation I started wearing this bassinet at 8 months and it helped. I didn't find it that useful when I was smaller, but maybe that's because I ordered the Med size and the S/H got the Small size. Key Points: 1. Yes, it's ugly and the front straps will be visible under your clothes if you don't tuck them under the hooks of your nursing bra (good advice). If you're in pain, you don't care. 2. You can order one size down as other recommendations - I wasn't thinking of a size 8/10 (155lbs) before pregnancy, I usually gain at least 30+ lbs during pregnancy and need the extra length. Now at week 32, I wear it on medium hooks (3 sets). Where I would like more customization is underbust flex - I think a larger size is fine in that regard. After a long day, it's cramped and impossible to get out.3. I wish it had more hooks around the waist so you can adjust to the shorter length for the first few months, but suppose you could sew yourself. Also wish it was white.4. I wear it over a bra, not a tank top, and I find it doesn't itch that much. Naturally, during the hot LA summer, I decided against it because I was smaller and not as sick and it was too hot to wear with clothes. I also like this instead of the more traditional support straps because it's not made of neoprene or similar material which I found bulky and very hot under clothing. If you're pregnant, you're already hot.5. I bought a mini birthing bed to try and it was silly - just a big strip of rubber to make. Here with the birthing cradle, it's a whole contraption that makes more sense for the $$. I would give 5 stars if it had the above settings. I'd be more likely to wear in the 2nd trimester if that were the case and perhaps this could be a good preventative against pain.
