Review on πŸ”§ Effortless Precision: RZX Riveter Riveting Setting Mandrels Unleashed! by Russell Robertson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent customer service! I recommend. Don't iron it too hard!

RECOMMEND. The fit and design of this tool is legal. It looks/feels very well made. At first I had a problem with the #10-32 mandrel. It broke on the 3rd nut (see photo). Note: I believe this malfunction is MY FAULT due to too much pressure. I did not set the stroke correctly (amount/distance at which the rivet is crushed). The #10-32 threaded nut is relatively small and requires VERY LITTLE compression pressure (very little travel, 3-3.5mm, so I learned it the hard way) to secure the nut. Since my mandrel broke I had no choice but to switch to M5 which is almost identical in size (bolt diameter). The nut is virtually identical to the 10-32 nut in diameter/length etc.; It's just that the internal thread is slightly different, obviously metric. I have continued to use the M5 with 3mm to 3.5mm of travel and the tool has worked flawlessly. This was my first experience with a socket wrench and I was surprised to learn how little crimping/breaking force is required to get a nut to grab a hole in sheet metal. At the same time, immediately after the spike No. 10-32 burst, I contacted the seller. via Revain on Saturday afternoon (July 18, 2020) and I received a response within a few hours. The nice lady immediately credited/reimbursed me for the cost of the replacement mandrel and linked directly to the product page. I ordered a replacement mandrel; it will arrive tomorrow. Unfortunately, the component broke at first, but luckily I found a suitable alternative due to the many other mandrels available in the kit. Also good that the seller is so responsive. This is how you earn and maintain a good reputation and set an excellent example of quality customer service. Well done maintenance staff (whose name starts with "M"). Seller Note: The instructions that came with the product are a little weak. It's not racquetball science (yes, I said racquetball science), but it wasn't very clear on how spikes are inserted/removed, and doesn't mention the importance of adjusting travel, nor does it explain how to properly adjust it. For regular idiots like me, I would suggest adding an add-on or information card to the pack. Include any recommended travel values for different rivet sizes; especially smaller diameters as these can be brittle. Thank you for the great customer service and quality tool. I RECOMMEND.
