This is the second component I'm buying to build my own RM95 kit. I have previously purchased RM8 satellites and this center speaker completes my front set. For the record, I'm using this system with a consumer amp (Sony HT-DDW680), a high quality monster cable, and currently only 3.1 surround sound. The system is installed in a small 10x12 playroom, so there are very important acoustic limits to the volume of the room. However, there is a noticeable change in sound quality compared to previous SONY SS-MSP680 speakers. The speaker elements are roughly the same diameter, but these Polk components have a clearer sound. Of course the comparison is unfair (three-piece versus one-piece), but the sound in the same room is comparatively so good that I buy the next pair of RM8s for the rear and upgrade my 3.1s to 5.1s. .I would have no hesitation in recommending this center speaker and RM8 Satellite to my friends.
