Review on πŸ”Š Experience Ultimate Connectivity On the Road with FreedConn TCOM-SC Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset - LCD Screen/FM Radio/800M/Handsfree/2-3 Riders/Changeable Mic Cord by Roberto Strumer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great device - be careful with the holder! - Stutter Tip UPDATE

The receiver is good but the mount is a little flimsy as noted by another reviewer. I bought two of these units and was finally able to ride now that the snow is gone and the temperature is over 30. I installed the headset in my helmet in anticipation of riding and tested the device. Sound is good, and other loudness ratings are most likely due to improper speaker placement. If you put them behind the pads, you won't hear anything! Of course you need to place the speakers between the pads. The only issue I have is the plastic mount that needs to be attached to the helmet to hold the receiver. When I first tried plugging the receiver in I found it difficult and I assume you want it just not to fall out while driving. The problem is that the bracket snapped right over the screws so it's no longer holding in place. I can use the adhesive mount that came with it, but now I can only use it with a helmet. They come with two Velcro straps to attach the speakers, which is very handy. So if you ride two sports and have an outdoor helmet and an off-road helmet, you can easily switch the device from one to the other. I no longer have that option, which is a shame. Otherwise I like it. Update: The seller saw my review, contacted me about the mount and sent me a new one for free - great customer service. Update: 7/13/18 - I've been using the device for about 3.5 months and the music streaming feature keeps crashing. The music will randomly skip and stutter. I contacted FreedConn and they told me to send the device to China for testing! The shipping costs are almost the same as the cost of the device and I think I'll go weeks or maybe months without it! Disabling Wi-Fi on the phone seems to alleviate the problem. I have notified FreedConn so they can investigate and update the rating to 3 stars. I think the last Android update for Oreo caused the problem. It would be great if they offered firmware updates as Android updates may cause issues in the future. Updated: 10/15/19. I still have this device. I use it almost every day for music on the go and haven't had any issues since the wifi issue. Upgrade to four stars for two years of use at a great price. Updated 10/19/20. This device is still working and there doesn't seem to be any battery life issues so far - impressed!
