I lost my Toshiba remote and this remote worked without the box. Don't scroll input options; I can only do this with a Toshiba remote and this new one is amazing. Thanks to the seller and Amazon. However, I have a packaging issue that I believe is not caused by the seller. The bottom of the plastic bag was cut at an angle large enough to pull out the remote control. I hope the courier reported it. It must have happened between leaving the seller and getting on the van. The driver seemed very careful and wedged it between a post and a large flower pot on my porch, but didn't ring my doorbell like most couriers do. After that, I will ask that my doorbell be rung for every delivery.
