Overall, this is a good set for beginners. Lots of great things that have come in handy for me and all things collected in one great store. It's easy to keep everything together in storage. However, the rotary cutter is not that good. It's not as sharp as I thought it would be, especially for a new blade. In addition, the clips were not durable. Each broke on first use. Luckily I had other clips (not from this set). Finally, the cutting board isn't flat BUT just place it under something flat and heavy and it will straighten out.
