I bought this pan to have a flat bottom pan. My regular pans don't work well on an electric range with a glass lid. This pan cannot be submerged in water, so it's quite difficult to clean, especially after frying foods like fish, hamburgers, bacon, etc. Luckily, the surface is easy to clean. Cleaning issues aside, I love the pan and use it regularly. Heat and brown food evenly with a minimal amount of oil. Temperature control is typical of electric skillets, as you need to regulate the temperature throughout the cooking process.
