I bought these to actually wear microfiber clothes to clean my glasses, not my glasses themselves, and they serve that need pretty well. If you're looking for good protection for your glasses, I wouldn't recommend soft cases in general as they're easy to fall off your bedside table, get crushed by other items in your suitcase, or just get hit again by something that could damage your glasses without glasses any protection will equally do the same damage by such a soft case. I use a hard plastic case with felt inside for my glasses as it is one of the best for it.
