Review on Pyle PLPW8D 8in Car Subwoofer - Powerful 800W Audio Speaker for Enhanced Vehicle Stereo Sound System by Radney Taala

Bought a 6.5 inch dual 4 ohm subwoofer. I bought two to replace in the Firebird as the system in the car requires a 6.5 spec with two 4 ohm voice coils and the choices for this setup are limited. Don't get me wrong, the speakers are a great price, $10 each, and they do what they're supposed to do. They give you decent bass notes, they can't handle heavy low hits, but that's not what they're designed for. They definitely sound better than the factory speakers. Beware. If you want big bass or hear your stereo don't expect much from them, they don't handle very high volumes very well. On a loudness scale of 1 to 20, at 17 they start to distort. Can't complain as they perform well for the price. Good budget column. Also, the terminals are not spring loaded snaps as advertised, you must solder or use spade connectors.
