I bought this collar for my 17 year old cat who was having a hard time adjusting to the new cats in my small house. A few months ago my daughter moved in with me with her two 5 year old cats, a male and a female. I also have an 18 year old male who is very laid back and has no issues with his new roommates. My 17-year-old Mimi, on the other hand, was very tense, especially with a younger man. She will howl and hiss every time he approaches her. The aroma is very pleasant, I don't find it overpowering. Mimi wore it for about a week. She didn't really like that I put it on her, but when that happened she had no problems and didn't seem to care. It is very easy to set up and yet very secure. I can't say her sweet personality has miraculously changed, but I've noticed that she seems a little calmer and more willing to emerge from the isolation she's imposed. I hope that with time and continued use along with other measures, your stress level will decrease. I would recommend these considerations to anyone having similar issues with their furry children.
