I live in Florida and keep my umbrella up all year long. My lania receives the sun from the West in the afternoon. Yes, the Florida sun is strong and bright. I am replacing the original umbrella that I bought 3 years ago. It has withheld the sun, wind, and strong wind. It is still in good condition but slightly faded since I use a strong cleaner on it every year. It is worth the money and as I said, I bought the same umbrella because I have been so satisfied with the one I bought 3 years ago. A very good purchase and came very rapidly.
