Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very easy to use external plug and play rewritable CD drive

I bought this external CD drive because over the years I have accumulated tons of files and music on my old CD drives have that almost nobody knows. use more. So I had to put all this 10-15 year old stuff on a hard drive and then save it to one of the storage devices. This disc is so inexpensive, so effective, and so easy to use that I gave it 5 stars. , in those categories, and I also see that the seller answers many of the buyer's questions promptly, so I think it's five too, although I've never had to call them with a problem myself. I think the word of the day is simple - simple packaging, easy to plug in and play, ability to read different types of content, be it music CDs, DVDs or simple data files. I haven't tried to overwrite it with new data, but other than that it works fine with my laptop, so I don't doubt its functionality. Device and below removed. Nothing to lose (yes, guilty of the charge), it's hardwired to the device. No bulky separate cables for power and data like I've had with some other CD drives in the past. Support USB2 and 3 and Windows XP/2003/Wind8/Vista/7, Linux/Mac10 OS. It didn't automatically connect to my Chromebook, but I've heard there are downloadable drivers that make it work, or if I have a Linux Chromebook installed. I didn't care what to try, although I also have a Chromebook my goal was just to transfer the old files to my main laptop. I haven't measured the transfer speed, but as long as it does the job, it wouldn't make much of a difference to me personally. From my point of view and for my purposes - solid 5+ with plug and play, usability, simplicity, features, easy to follow little guide and overall positive experience.
