WARNING TOO BIG FOR PS5 BUT FITSโ€ผ๏ธ

I bought this thermal sleeve to use with SAMSUNG M.2 NVME 980 PRO SSD for PS5. Many note that the case can be used with PS5. The case is hardly used in the SSD slot. The reason is that the thermal pad is too thick. One of the thermal pads must be thinner than the included thermal pads. Be careful if you squeeze the metal case too hard as you can damage the SSD even with the thermal pads installed. The metal case gets too high (big) for the PS5 SSD's metal cover to slide back into the inner groove (which is used to prevent it from popping out). This is important as the PS5 uses this gasket to create a vacuum in the SSD chamber. This negative air pressure helps remove heat from the SSD chamber. Without a seal, an SSD can get hot without proper airflow. I partially fixed this issue by bending a small metal ledge (on the body of the SSD cover) at a 90 degree angle, which allowed me to reattach the SSD cover without sliding the cover back into the inner groove. It "appears" to be sealed, but I honestly don't know if the seal is effective. I think I will. If you don't want to risk it, buy alternative thinner thermal pads. Preferably thermal pads 0.5 mm thick. I will probably do it in the near future.
