I bought them for displays but they are not very good. They're good for the price, but not great either. I like that they fold compactly. They are easy to pack in bags and take with you. And with the fact that they're adjustable, you can get them to any angle you want, which is perfect. However, the screws that hold it upright become difficult to tighten after just a few uses. A few times they worked fine, but each time they got weaker and weaker. I really have to play around with it to get the stands to get the legs to keep it upright. If you're using it to hold something heavier than a paperback, it won't work. Overall they aren't terrible, but definitely not something I would recommend. They work well - to a certain extent. But I will replace them with something more reliable.
