They are well made, seems fairly waterproof. I needed one to connect 12v to my top rack on my hang glider. I now have a cell phone/tablet charging station near Bluetooth to communicate with my helmet. I also added LED lighting so I can see what's in the trunk. I don't take the trunk off very often and I don't know how strong these connectors are as I pulled the wire out to open it but the wire went right back in and now I'm attaching the wires to the connector with heat shrink tubing . pipes and they seem to be working fine.
