Great floss!

Flossing is one of the parts of dental care that I really hate. It's not that I don't want to, it's that flossing is finicky and difficult. Because of this, I pretty much only use these little standalone flossing tools. I've tried several and so far my favorite has been the Plackers brand. They have a thread and a built-in mediator. There's also the Listerine Ultra brand - they're like Plackers but with a toothbrush-like handle. They're harder to use than Plackers because, to me at least, all the angles are wrong. Rubbery toothpicks are pretty good, but I have closely spaced teeth so they don't provide full coverage. When I saw them I decided to try them. First impression: These things are superior to all other tools. Without exceptions. First, they are individually wrapped and come in resealable 7-packs. Perfect for my travel pharmacy. A bit wasteful on packaging, but not by much. At first I thought the double thread was a gimmick, but it works incredibly well - way better than Plackers. Unlike the plodders, which must be folded to use, they have a rigid pickaxe at the end, and the shape makes the pickaxe much easier to use. The icing on the cake is the built-in soft brush. I don't normally use gum picks because I don't like using multiple tools, but the fact that they included a soft pick means I will actually use one. By the way, and because you can store them away, they can be washed and reused several times, making them more economical. Not only will I buy them again, but I will also show them to my dentist!
